Soar is really special to me. It was one of the first pieces I painted when I came back to painting, and it holds so much love.
For me it's all about hope and strength. That deep blue shape always looks like wings to me, just lifting off, with little flashes of white and mint green around it. Behind it there's a big, warm wash of soft peach that feels calm and open, like there's plenty of space to rise into.
A lot of people buy Soar to mark something that took real strength to get through, like recovering from illness, a new start after a hard time, or a loss they want to remember. I love that it's become a little celebration of getting through. It makes a really thoughtful gift too.
It looks lovely in a living room or bedroom, especially with warm neutrals, soft pinks and natural wood. The natural oak frame brings out the warmth of the peach, and white keeps it light and fresh.
