creative Wokshops

Life has a habit of filling every gap. The to-do list, the notifications, the constant hum of I should be doing more, being more, achieving more.

Most of us know that feeling. And most of us are carrying more than we let on.

Creative activity reduces cortisol levels, calms the nervous system, and gives the mind somewhere to rest that isn't a screen, that’s a fact. For children, art builds emotional vocabulary, confidence, and the ability to process feelings they don't yet have words for. For adults, it creates something super rare, a reason to be fully present, without an agenda or an outcome to chase.

I didn't know any of that when I first picked up a brush. I just knew it helped.

It helped me slow down when everything felt too fast. It gave me somewhere to put the pressure, the perfectionism, the noise. It became the one place I wasn't trying to be anything And over time, it gave me something back that I hadn't realised I'd lost, a sense of myself, outside of everything I was supposed to be doing.

I want other people to experience this because I love sharing the good stuff!

Whether you're looking for a few hours of quiet, an evening out with friends that feels more, a way to connect with your children over something messy & joyful, or a full day to properly step back and breathe, there is a workshop for you.

Take a look and see what feels right for where you are right now.

Art Workshops & Retreats

Whether you've never picked up a brush before or you've been painting for years and want to push further, these sessions are designed to meet you exactly where you are. No syllabus to follow, no right way to do it, just guided, unhurried time in the studio to explore, experiment and make.

From the focused energy of a three-hour abstract workshop to the reflective quiet of art journalling, the ambition of a large canvas day, or the full reset of a retreat. Proper time and space to create, without the noise of everyday life creeping in.

Canvas & Canapes

A relaxed, guided painting evening with me in the studio & gallery in Tadcaster

You'll be gently guided through creating your own abstract painting on canvas, with a glass in hand and nibbles to enjoy throughout the evening. No experience needed, no pressure, just a warm and welcoming space to slow down, be creative and enjoy yourself.

Come with friends for a night out that's a little different. Come solo for some genuinely gorgeous me-time. Or bring a group to celebrate something special.

You'll leave with a painting you made, felling lifted by the giggles and probably already thinking about when you're coming back.

Creative Family workshops

Family Workshop sessions are private, tailored experiences, designed around your family, your ideas, and the ages of your children. There are no off-the-shelf kits here. Just a warm studio, good materials, and a session built around what matters to you.

Choose from a shared canvas you all work on together, individual pieces for a gallery wall, a theme close to your hearts, or something inspired by your children's own artwork from when they were younger.

It's the kind of afternoon everyone talks about afterwards.

Starting from £200 for a private session. Every workshop is different and completely tailored. Drop me a message and we can build your family session together.

children’s Creative freedom workshops

A place where getting messy is the whole point!

These small-group workshops are designed for children aged 5–11 who need somewhere to be creative without anyone telling them they're doing it wrong. Because here, there is no wrong.

Each after-school session runs from 4–5.30pm and centres around a gentle theme, music, emotion, nature, energy, giving children a starting point and then complete freedom to explore it in their own way. Using paint, mark-making and mixed media, they'll experiment with colour, shape and movement, learning simple techniques while being encouraged to trust their instincts and take creative risks.

There's no copying. No perfection. Just imagination, a bit of mess, and artwork they'll be super proud of.
